🏆 Annual Allotment Awards 2026

Entries for the 2026 Annual Allotment Awards are officially open! Our yearly celebration of everything that makes Waterslade plots brilliant. Whether you've been tending your patch for years or you're in your very first season, we'd love you to enter. Get your entries in by Sunday 15th June.

How it works

Open to all Silsoe Waterslade Gardeners' Club allotment holders. Judging takes place during the first week of August (exact dates to be confirmed), and trophies will be presented at the Annual BBQ & Awards Ceremony on Sunday 23rd August.

This year's categories

• Most Inspiring Plot. The plot that makes you stop and stare.

• Best Herb Garden. For the aromatic among us.

• Most Varieties of Fruit & Veg. Diversity is the spice of allotment life.

• Best Newcomer. For plotholders in their first year.

• Best Flowers & Wildlife-Friendly Plot. Bees, butterflies, blooms and all.

You don't have to enter every category. Pick the ones that suit your plot and leave the rest. One entry, one category, or all five: it's entirely up to you.

All winners will be announced at our Annual BBQ & Awards Ceremony on Sunday 23rd August, the highlight of the Waterslade calendar. Tickets will be available soon, so keep an eye on the site and the WhatsApp group for the announcement.
